The PIPS Course: Outline
Uniquely, the PIPS Course focuses on the processes of communication, the verbal and non-verbal behaviour that has been shown to deliver results. It is available for a maximum of 12 participants.
The Course covers two formal days, plus exercises. It includes rapport-building (getting personal chemistry fast) both through verbal and non-verbal behaviour; eliciting the other person’s view of the world and presenting information most powerfully within that frame; using language cues and other techniques to uncover the client’s underlying wants; communicating messages most influentially; controlling one’s own state of mind to be consistently effective in high-pressure meetings; managing groups of senior people and delivering the most compelling presentations to them. The PIPS Course presumes ‘win-win’ interactions.
This ASPI course is structured with a gap of three to five weeks between the two days which gives scope for the practice and long-term integration of skills through exercises and one-on-one coaching.
