The Knowledge Course
(or 'What they should have taught you at Business School')
The Knowledge Course is unique among the ASPI offerings in that it addresses the role of personal influence not through people skills, but through the acquisition of business knowledge.
The Course is targeted at those requiring specific business analytics in general, knowledge building for newly promoted managers, project managers seeking to work effectively with outside consultants, or service providers seeking to better understand and add value to their client’s business. Up to 20 can attend.
The Knowledge Course covers the breadth and depth of over 100 critical business techniques, organised into bite-size chunks, including:
- strategy concepts (eg: Porter’s 5 Forces, BPR, Blue Ocean Strategy, Happy Line)
- crisp thinking skills (eg: Pyramid principle, Hypothesis development, Mind maps)
- analytical diagnostic tools (eg: ROS/ROCE tree, BCG matrix, waterfall)
- portfolio valuation techniques (eg: NPV, EVA, game theory, real options)
- people & group theories (eg: Myers-Briggs type indicator, Belbin teams)
The modules are described concisely, coherently and thoroughly with practical exercises. They have been put together by experts who have had practical application employing them in real life client and internal situations.
You can choose those that most appropriately meet your requirements to create your own course.
